Presales Engineer

Overview

 

As a Presales Engineer, you support the sales teams using your technical knowledge, your technical account management skills, sales ability and a strong customer-first focus. You can take and give directions. You work closely with the sales colleagues to achieve the desired targets.

 



REQUIRED COMPETENCIES

 

  • Learn the technical details concerning the ClickShare Products.
  • Provide pre-sales technical assistance, product education and demo support as required and help Barco and Partner sales teams with the preparation of tender documents.
  • Offer support to customers on technical related matters and become trusted advisor for all critical accounts and prospective customers.
  • Create, manage and execute on support contracts.
  • Work with the Barco and Partner sales teams on planning and organizing sales opportunities.
  • Manage customer relations by soliciting and logging client feedback.
  • Gather and interpret customer requirements. Determine the best solution in collaboration with the Product management team.
  • Identify areas where we can improve customer satisfaction and repeat business, then communicate those issues and possible solutions to upper management.
  • Attend, manage and participate in all required shows, meetings and training sessions.

Travel Requirements

Up to 60% travel may be required


Required education, experience and competencies

Education: Preferred Bachelors degree

Experience : 10 years of experience with deploying AV or IT solutions 

Excellent relationship/stakeholder management.

Able to communicate in English and other languages depending on the region you support.

Communication & presentation skills.

Autonomy & initiative.

Result management:
Technical curiosity and a natural flair for technical application.

Ability to break down technical concepts into more ‘user friendly’ terminology.

Knowledge of customer service principles and techniques with the ability to analyze and interpret customer requirements, identify issues and problems, and offer appropriate action plans towards resolution.

Experience with Salesforce CRM is a plus.

Familiar with MS Office Suite, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.

 

Essential Functions

  • Work Environment - Job performed in normal office environment including 6-8 hours a day of sitting, computer activities, communication skills, intermittet standing, limited lifting, physical activities or exposure to regular office conditions. 
  • Ability to lift, carry, or position equipment or components (typically up to 30 lbs) during tradeshows or demos
  • Ability to walk, bend, reach, and move between areas as needed. 
  • Ability to connect, unplug, handle, or manipulate cables, small parts, or testing hardware. 
  • Regular business hours apply; however, adjusted work hours may be required to meet schedules. 
  • Must comply with all environmental, health, safety, and security protocols. 
  • Must be able to visually inspect hardware and displays and perform tasks involving fine motor skills. 

The salary range for this position in CA is $109,000 - $123,000 annually. This range represents the pay that we reasonably expect to offer for this role and does not include variable compensation like commission. The actual salary will be determined based on factors such as relevant experience, skills, and qualifications.
