Presales Engineer

As a Presales Engineer, you will play a key role in supporting sales teams by combining technical expertise with strong customer engagement. You will collaborate closely with internal and partner sales colleagues to drive successful outcomes and deliver value to customers.
 
This role requires a customer-first mindset, the ability to translate technical concepts into user-friendly solutions, and the autonomy to manage technical support activities across accounts.

Key Responsibilities

  • Learn and maintain in-depth knowledge of ClickShare products
  • Provide pre-sales technical support, product education, and demo assistance to internal and partner sales teams
  • Support the preparation of tender documents in collaboration with sales teams
  • Act as a trusted technical advisor for key customers and prospects, supporting them on technical matters
  • Create, manage, and execute support contracts
  • Collaborate with sales teams to plan and organise sales opportunities
  • Manage customer relationships by collecting and logging client feedback
  • Analyse and interpret customer requirements and determine optimal solutions in collaboration with Product Management
  • Identify opportunities to improve customer satisfaction and repeat business, and communicate findings to management
  • Participate in trade shows, meetings, and training sessions as required
  • Travel up to 60% as part of the role

Your Profile

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • 4–7 years of experience in deploying AV or IT solutions
  • Strong relationship and stakeholder management skills
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts in user-friendly terms
  • Fluent in English; additional languages are an advantage depending on the region supported
  • Ability to work autonomously and take initiative, with a results-driven mindset
  • Strong technical curiosity and aptitude for applying technical solutions
  • Knowledge of customer service principles, with the ability to analyse requirements, identify issues, and propose solutions
  • Experience with Salesforce CRM is an advantage
  • Proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint

  • A competitive salary package, including a salary range of $109,000 – $120,000 annually for California-based roles (excluding variable compensation such as commission)
