Sales Manager Simulation UK & Ireland

As Sales Manager your purpose is to promote and sell Barco Simulation and Control Room products to end customers via existing and new partners. You will prospect, identify and develop new sales opportunities at end customers, in targeted markets and accounts. In addition, you will define the best end user approach for the territory in collaboration with the Simulation Director EMEA, establish contact and secure demo opportunities with key prospects, as well as close deals during on-site visits or industry events.



Key responsibilities



  • You are responsible for growing simulation and control room sales and funnel in the UK by actively targeting partners and applications;
  • You follow up on leads generated by Barco campaigns, tradeshows or web traffic;
  • You build market position by locating, developing, defining, negotiating, and closing simulation opportunities;
  • You define and onboard new resellers for Barco in the market. Act as SPOC for those new Partners, devise a Business plan including performance targets and investment plan as well as review performance during Quarterly Business Reviews;
  • You onboard/activate existing Barco resellers as per target plan and collaborate with the existing Barco Account Manager: Take over the support of the Partners and  the opportunities with those targeted resellers;
  • You support Channel Partners with technical / sales expertise on the Barco range aiding specification of our products;
  • You proactively deliver product training / updates to identified channel partners.   
  • You follow-up on leads identified at end customer level by the Business development team or coming from the consultant team : Analyze the customers needs and provide the appropriate value proposition in return. Ensure customer expectations are met or exceeded. 
  • You provide and achieve meaningful consolidated sell in forecast from Partners’ Regions on a monthly base as per Barco financial forecasting methodology. 
  • You ensure strong interlinks with the other simulation team members in order to secure the EMEA/WW support for international partners;
  • You identify showstoppers to potential opportunities and report back to Simulation Sales Director EMEA for additional support;
  • You report on weekly visits and manage funnel as per company CRM rules;
  • You reach personal sales target on Barco products;
  • You monitor technology and market factors and provide market intelligence to Sales management and Segment marketing. 



Your profile



  • You have a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree (business, marketing, engineering) or equivalent combination of education and experience;
  • You have 5 to 7 years of proven sales experience in related industry/technologies;
  • You have sales experience in the simulation market, within the UK & Ireland region;
  • You have commercial experience in project, value and solution selling;
  • You have strong experience in working with a network of end users, consultants, system integrators and partners;
  • You are a ‘hunter’: eager to prospect new end customers and / or new contacts at different levels of the targeted account;
  • You demonstrate the ability to combine commercial and technical skills whereby continuous learning is key;
  • You are able to articulate the benefits of the products to channel partners and end-customers;  is fully conversant with professional sales techniques; 
  • You speak Fluent English;
  • You are able to work effectively work across organisational and national boundaries;
  • You have the ability and adaptability to work practically, reliably and flexibly, without the need for on-going support.
