Technical Sales Manager Immersive Experience

Function

Due to continued growth, Barco is expanding its worldwide sales organization. We are seeking a Technical Sales person with a proven track record to join our sales team as Technical Sales Manager for the UK and Ireland markets.

 

The mission of the Technical Sales Manager is to support the sales organisation and the partners/customers with expert know-how on the Barco Immersive Experience solutions and products through training, demonstration and technical expertise that support the conversations throughout the customer journey. As a liaison between Sales, Service and Product Management, you also collect key customer and user insights and feed them back to the product base.

 

You will be able to provide quotes directly to Partners and Support the Distribution Channel to win increasing market share for Barco Immersive Experience.

 

 

Key responsibilities

The Technical Sales Manager is accountable for growing Barco Immersive Experience sales and funnel in the targeted country.

 

Principle Duties:

  • As a Technical Sales Manager, you support the sales teams with answers to technical and commercial “specialist” questions. You are the go-to person for specific questions related to product specs, use and performance.
  • You support the sales teams in trade-shows, product demos, shoot-outs & the sales process by taking ownership of the best practice in setup of the different solutions.
  • You make and provide quotes directly to Partners and support the Distribution Channel
  • You are able to provide product presentations and trainings to our customers, partners and consultants.
  • You translate customer requirements towards a technical solution leveraging your product expertise and business segment knowledge
  • You assist the sales team in preparing technical proposals for international tenders.
  • You help customers plan and understand the best ways to utilize and integrate the Barco solutions within their designs and offerings.
  • You collect insights and feedback on our products from customers and partners and feed them back to the product managers and R&D teams – you actively follow-up critical deployments and issues ensuring the right priorities are set.
  • You proactively support and communicate towards customers and partners with the adequate level of information on new products or product updates.
  • You work on multiple customer accounts simultaneously and in an international environment.

 

  • You are contribute to growing our projection and image processing sales revenue and funnel by actively targeting large enterprises within our focused vertical markets;
  • You identify new opportunities for all Barco products and follow up leads to conclusion;
  • You are comfortable interacting with different roles and levels at key accounts (Procurement, Project manager, Prescriber, Facility Manager, IT/AV Manager, C-Level);
  • You follow up on Immersive Experience leads generated by Barco campaigns, social media or by our website;
  • You develop strong interlinks with the other local team members, consultant team, service team and other sales specialists;
  • You will monitor technology and market factors and provide market intelligence to Sales Management, Segment Marketing and Product Management;
  • You will identify showstoppers to potential opportunities and report back to our Service Segment manager & Sales Director for additional support;
  • You will report on weekly visits to the regional sales director and manage funnel as per company CRM rules.

 

European functional team work

  • You develop strong relationships within the Barco Sales Teams in different countries, as well as with functional leaders in Belgium Corporate HQ to ensure harmonious working relationships.

 

We are looking for an employee who

  • Has 3-5 years’ experience in a similar job / role.
  • Has a customer first mentality (both for internal as external customers).
  • Has experience with A/V deployments and networks preferably within themed entertainment or live events sectors – understands the language of A/V, IT and network security
  • Has excellent presentation and communications skills (oral & written). You are able to bring a message in a very clear and understandable way
  • Has affinity with technical aspects of a product range and is willing to learn
  • Has a commercial mind-set and is a problem solver
  • You are technically minded with a sales ability
  • Has a deep understanding of how the product works, what the value proposition of the product is to the customers and how the product is used
  • Is a real team player and you are good at interacting with sales, service and product management
  • Performs multiple assignments on schedule.
  • You can adopt a disciplined and organized approach in regards to your travel and CRM pipeline management
  • You enjoy to work in a team and can effectively work across organizational and national boundaries
  • You have a self-assured and outgoing personality with the ability and adaptability to work practically, reliably and flexibly, without the need for on-going support
  • Is flexible - willing to travel when required
  • Operating from Barco Bracknell office or from home (within commutable distance from London area)
  • Communicates fluently in English – other languages are an asset
