Sales Director - Learning Experience

Function

 

As the Head of Sales for Learning Experience (LX) NA your mission will be to develop and grow Barco’s mind-share and market-share in the high-end virtual learning market for higher education and corporate learning and development in NA.  We seek an experienced leader and hunter with a proven track record of business development and realized growth across the NA higher education market. You will lead the sales organization responsible for the Americas region go-to-market strategy and execution. The position reports into the Global Vice President of LX Sales & Business Development and is based in the US.

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Develop a sales plan that ensures attainment of sales goals
  • Personally, support and grow several strategic accounts
  • Enforces the chosen sales model strategy appropriate for the related products and services
  • Responsible for the performance, development and growth of the sales organization
  • Consolidate sales and logistics forecasting from sales
  • Coordinate with other departments in the company to maximize sales and project implementation
  • Create a 'customer first' environment
  • Assist sales executives with complex sales situations when needed
  • Accountable for/manage and interpret data entry into the CRM to track business opportunities and performance of the sales executives through personal communication
  • Management of sales pipeline and forecasting activities through corporate CRM. 
  • Manage and control quoting and contractual activities of the sales team
  • Manage processes for developing and negotiating proposals, sales quotations, and commercial agreements
  • Effective communication of the company’s value proposition with key decision makers. 
  • Will collaborate globally with Barco colleagues

 

 

 

 

 

 Qualifications:

  • 10+ years leading sales organization focusing on cloud-based SaaS solution selling preferably within the higher education market and/or corporate L&D
  • Proven track record and references in sales management and deal closing
  • Proven success in attracting, developing, and leading a results oriented remote sales organization.
  • Prior experience establishing relationships with integrators preferred
  • Demonstrated background using CRM and sales forecasting tools
  • Demonstrated experience with sales forecasting to optimize overall company performance
  • Experience working with global team members is preferred
  • Ability to travel as needed
