Business Development Manager, Learning Experience - Eastern US

Function

As Business Development Manager in Learning Experience your mission is two-fold:  (1) to drive new business opportunities in the Education and Corporate training market by mapping relationships and partnerships while coordinating opportunities through certified channels and (2) to create new business development opportunities in the Education and Corporate training Markets based in a defined territory.  You will also work closely with the channel team and business development teams on the development and implementation of key initiatives that support our strategic goals in the education and corporate training segments.

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

 

  • Work with existing and new channel partners and Barco channel and business development teams to position all Barco products and services to meet individual, divisional and corporate goals and objectives
  • Target un-tapped Education and Corporate Training Markets where focus will be on high priority accounts to develop relationships at key levels within current and potential customer
  • Support and grow strategic accounts
  • Execute on the chosen sales model strategy appropriate for the related products and services
  • Support a 'customer first' environment
  • Maintain data entry into the CRM to track business opportunities and performance of the sales executives through personal communication
  • Maintenance of sales pipeline and forecasting activities through corporate CRM. 
  • Collaborate on developing and negotiating proposals, sales quotations, and commercial agreements
  • Will collaborate globally with Barco colleagues

 

 

 Qualifications:

  • Experience in a sales organization focusing on cloud-based SaaS solution selling preferably within the higher education market and/or corporate L&D
  • Proven track record in reaching/exceeding sales targets
  • Experience selling complex projects is required
  • Prior experience establishing relationships with integrators preferred
  • Demonstrated background using CRM and sales forecasting tools
  • Experience working with global team members is preferred
  • Ability to travel as needed
