Product development is thriving in Barco, and we are looking for talented programmers to join our software team in Barco Fredrikstad.

As an Embedded Software Engineer in Barco, you will be part of a truly multidisciplinary team developing software for the next generation of visualization products. That means you will throw ideas, brainstorm, puzzle, and prototype with some of Norway's brightest software, FPGA, electronics, thermal, optical, and mechanical engineers.

And it doesn't stop there. At Barco, we design and develop all our software in house, so you will be able to follow your brainchild all the way from ideation to qualification, production and beyond.

What you will do

• Develop software for projectors used in simulation & training, events and so on
• Work with other bright and inspiring colleagues in Norway & Belgium
• Deliver high-quality software on time through our agile development process

Ideally, you bring

• Solid programming skills and just as importantly, the drive to develop these further
• Embedded programming experience is a bonus
• A degree would be nice, but skills rule. Tell us what you've got

We work with modern C++ in a Linux environment, developing object-oriented applications for embedded systems. We use c++17 as our core programming language. Some of the tools we use are GNU toolchain, Python, CMake and Qt, Git and BitBucket for version control, and Jira for feature management and bug tracking.
