C++ Application Software Developer

Our enthusiastic and agile project team is currently in search of a motivated C++ developer to contribute to our QA and asset platform for the healthcare sector. Your contribution will help to further expand a solution that assists healthcare radiological imaging centers in managing the quality, usage and service delivery for Barco monitors installed world-wide. Key responsibilities


  • Development of user-facing elements (Qt) and client (Desktop) side business logic.
  • Writing reusable, testable, efficient and maintainable code and writing the tests for your code.
  • Contribute to our user-facing desktop application which controls and audits our healthcare displays.
  • Understanding differences between multiple oses (Windows and MacOS) and optimizing to the specific platforms.
  • Analysis and refinement together with the team and the product owner.
  • Work in an international environment and team setting.
  • Provide detailed and constructive design and code reviews.



Your profile


  • Hands on C++ object-oriented development experience.
  • Experience with application development for desktops (mainly Windows OS).
  • Be able to deliver an easy to deploy application
  • Posses a skillset which spans the full development cycle from analysis, design, implementation and verification.
  • Understanding the nature of asynchronous programming to integrate with devices (displays, sensors, ...)
  • You have good analytical skills and an eye for detail and quality.
  • You have good communication & problem solving skills.
  • You have good knowledge of spoken and written English.
  • You are able to work in close collaboration with fellow developers, product owner and product manager and like to share your ideas and knowledge.
  • Experience and understanding of code versioning tools, such as Git.
  • Think from a user perspective and keep the UI simple and intuitive to use.



These are considered a plus


  • Experience and affinity with UI and UX design is a plus but not the focus.
  • Experience with Qt.
  • Experience with medical device development.
