Key Responsibilities
Product & Portfolio Strategy
- Define and own the product and portfolio strategy aligned with healthcare and segment strategy
- Translate market, customer, technology and competitive insights into clear strategic choices
- Set and communicate a multi year roadmap at portfolio level
- Make explicit investment and prioritization trade offs across the portfolio
- Decide on lifecycle positioning: invest, sustain, harvest, consolidate or exit
Business & Economic Ownership
- Own the business case and economic performance of the portfolio
- Drive decisions based on margin, cost structure, ROI, revenue mix and cash impact
- Define and steer pricing strategies and value capture models
- Actively manage cost, complexity and lifecycle profitability
- Take full accountability for commercial outcomes, not just deliveryEnd to End Lifecycle Management
End to End Lifecycle Management
- Own the full lifecycle from opportunity identification to end of life
- Make go, no go and stop decisions based on facts and business impact
- Ensure lifecycle decisions are consistently executed across Sales, R&D, Operations and Service
- Anticipate and manage risks such as obsolescence, capacity constraints, quality issues and margin erosion
Cross Functional Leadership & Governance
- Lead cross functional teams without hierarchical authority
- Act as integrator across Product, R&D, Supply Chain, Quality, Service and Sales
- Provide clear direction, priorities and decision making
- Resolve conflicts with a strong business first mindset and escalate when needed
Product Leadership & Capability Building
- Act as a role model for strong product management within Healthcare
- Coach and challenge Product Managers and stakeholders
- Help shape governance, decision frameworks and ways of working
- Bring in external perspectives and best practices
