Senior Functional Analyst Corporate Functions

Purpose of the Job


  • As Functional Analyst, you will be responsible for creating the detailed application functional design and customizing setup that provides the common understanding of the business problem at stake and the solution that IT will provide for it. 
  • You will provide support to the designers and developers in implementing the solution. 
  • You will perform testing and provide training mostly in collaboration with the business counterpart and ensure a qualitative handover to both the organization and to the key users.



Main Responsibilities



  • You are responsible for creating the functional analysis and design for projects and changes in collaboration with the Domain Architects.
  • You create the design in collaboration with the Domain Architect and/or technical designer.
  • You support the Product Owner and the Domain Architect in defining the project charter, in providing estimates for the planning and work breakdown structure and in assessing project changes (effort and impact).
  • You are responsible for educating/training the key users, providing the project documentation and supporting the handover of the project/change to the deployment, operations and support organization
  • You create the system and integration test cases, the test plan and ensure the execution of the system and integration tests.
  • You support the business in creating and executing the user acceptance testing.
  • You provide 2nd line support in your areas of responsibility, also by coaching the first line support team to a higher level.
  • You investigate problems in search for the root cause and the solution(s) within your areas of responsibility.



We are looking for a Barco colleague who


  • Holds a Master’s degree in Computer Science, Applied Economics and/or (Civil) Engineering, Informatics or equivalent combination of education and working experience;
  • Has minimum 3 years hands on experience of SAP SD transactions and customizing;
  • Has deep knowledge of SAP modules: Sales and Distributions (SD – variant configuration, third party flow, ...), Transport Management (TM) and relevant experience with SAP BW and other data warehousing concepts;
  • Has knowledge of EDI, e-commerce, subscription models and API calls is an asset (Sales Force is used as servicing software in Barco with interactive connections to SAP ECC);
  • Is able to work independently and to set priorities - demonstrating excellent organizing, planning and problem solving skills;
  • Has excellent analytical skills and is able to present an analysis in a clear & concise way to key stakeholders;
  • Has the necessary influencing & cooperative skills to get things done.
