API Integration Analyst

Within Barco’s IT department, we are looking to expand our team in Kortrijk with an API Integration Analyst.
You translate our integration business requirements into state-of-the-art APIs and/or integrations. Together with our highly motivated team, you turn integration challenges, into valuable API/integration solutions. 
We use the Anypoint Platform from MuleSoft to build, deploy, secure, and expose all our APIs. Don’t worry if you don’t have MuleSoft skills, you will learn on the job. We’re looking for attitude and ability, not just proven skills.

 

Your responsibilities

 

  • You are an API & integration evangelist, who bridges the gap between Barco’s business and our developers, in order to promote the adoption/re-use of existing APIs or identify opportunities to build new API’s.
  • You participate in the End-to-End lifecycle of building new API’s and/or interfaces.
  • You analyzing data flows and translates business requirements into API specifications/integrations.
  • You remain continuously informed of emerging API trends and engaged in the external API community.
  • You work with the interface developers to diagnose and resolve interface-related issues and you participate in their projects as needed.
  • You create and maintain platform & solutions domain knowledge with the business and developers.

 

Your profile

 

  • You have experience with one or multiple interface technologies and concepts, such as WSDL, SOAP, REST, OpenAPI or JSON.
  • You can support our clients with technical issues or verify their technical integration. You can review their issues against original designs, to identify and document on discrepancies.
  • You have system development knowledge. You understand a system development lifecycle.
  • You are familiar with project management methodologies (Agile). You can manage multiple work streams and simultaneous projects in support of our growing API portfolio.
  • You are fluent in English and you like working in an international environment.
  • You are a critical thinker with a problem-solving attitude. You use logical and analytical thinking to come up with creative and innovative solutions.
  • You have excellent communication and change management skills, to align with our stakeholders and help us move forward.
