Indirect Procurement Professional

In the context of continuous digital transformation, our IT teams are in need of a procurement partner, in order to realize their goals and select the right suppliers and partners to do so. We look for a motivated Indirect Procurement colleague who wants to specialize in hardware and software buying.
In this role, you will determine together with your manager the approach on a strategic level and will act with a can-do mentality: taking on supplier negotiations and building an international supplier network within your domain, to the benefit of our IT colleagues and the whole company.
 
 
Key Responsibilities
 

• After a thorough training period, you will be responsible for the proper supplier selection, the negotiation and the contracting of goods and services at the lowest total cost, with the right quality and at optimal service levels.  For that, you will utilize spend analytics and sourcing techniques to rationalize the number of suppliers, apply a smart negotiate strategy to gain favorable terms and conditions, draft contracts up to signature, and maintain key supplier relationships to ensure continuity of business.
• This role with many cross-functional contacts inside and outside Barco brings lots of variety and action in your day to day job. As for example: teaming up with project managers and departments responsible on sourcing projects and cost reductions, or working with the legal counsel on procurement contracts, or challenging negotiations with suppliers.
• As your experience and network broadens, you will be the sourcing and subject matter expert for the procurement categories you manage.
• You will be part of our Corporate Procurement Team and will report to the Procurement Manager.

 
 
We are looking for a new colleague who
 

• Has a higher degree in a business oriented domain (such as Commercial Engineering, Commercial Sciences, Applied Economics), ideally with a first professional experience. However, we also encourage motivated young graduates to apply!
• Is proficient in verbal & written English and has minimum a basic knowledge in Dutch
• Is successful in establishing and maintaining solid relationships. 
• Is passionate about result oriented negotiations, integrity and doing business in an ethical way.
• Works pro-actively and likes taking initiatives.
• Enjoys analyzing market trends and spend data, also paying attention to details.
• Affinity with software products, licensing and IT services is definitely a plus!
