Internship - Cloud & Platform Engineering: Portable Deployment Solutions

About the internship

 

You'll help explore how modern cloud-native software can be transformed into flexible, portable solutions that run anywhere, from development environments to customer demonstrations and field deployments.

 

During this internship, you will investigate alternative deployment architectures for a cloud-native image analysis platform. The goal is to evaluate how cloud services can be packaged and deployed locally, without relying on external cloud infrastructure. You'll explore technologies such as containerization, infrastructure automation, and lightweight orchestration platforms while assessing different hardware options, ranging from ARM-based edge devices to GPU-powered workstations.

 

Your work will include designing proof-of-concept deployments, benchmarking performance, and identifying the most practical solutions for development, demo, and field-use scenarios.

 

What we're looking for

 

  • Bachelor or Master student in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electronics-ICT, Cloud Computing, or a related field
  • Good programming skills in Python or another scripting language
  • Interest in cloud computing, distributed systems, and software infrastructure
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently and evaluate technical solutions
  • Experience with Linux/Docker
  • Experience with Git (GitHub) and collaborative software development
  • Experience with LLM in development
  • Fluent spoken and written communication in English

 

Experience with AWS, DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, Infrastructure as Code, container technologies, networking, or system administration is a plus.
