Internship - Windows color management and its impact on Barco HC ecosystem.
Kortrijk, BE
How should a medical imaging ecosystem evolve to take advantage of Microsoft's new automatic color management framework while maintaining the level of color accuracy required for professional and clinical applications?
Modern operating systems are evolving towards more advanced color management workflows that aim to improve the consistency and accuracy of color reproduction across displays and applications. These developments create new opportunities, but also require display manufacturers and software vendors to adapt their products and workflows.
The objective of this internship is to investigate and enable compatibility with Microsoft's new automatic color management framework across a portfolio of professional display and software solutions. The intern will analyze the requirements of the new color management workflow, evaluate their impact on display characterization and application behavior, and prototype the necessary adaptations throughout the ecosystem. The work may include the generation and validation of compatible color profiles, display identification and capability reporting, as well as the integration of color-management support into software tools and quality assurance workflows. The internship combines software development, color science, system integration, and experimental validation.
