As a member of the Product Certification Team, you will be responsible for establishing and conducting the necessary wireless product certifications, processes and participating in the product cybersecurity procedures. You will collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure our products remain certified

Your role will be crucial in aligning our certification processes with the latest regulations and standards, ensuring Barco innovative products remain compliant.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support Wireless and Cyber Security Certification: Assist the Product Certificaiton team in achieving wireless product certifications.
  • Project Management: Manage and deploy product certification as a stand-alone project, including planning, milestones, and deliverables.
  • Proactive Follow-Up: Ensure all Barco certifications are on track by coordinating with stakeholders to provide necessary deliverables.
  • Regulation Monitoring: Stay updated on changing and new regulations and standards, and analyse their applicability to Barco products.
  • Lifetime Certification Maintenance: Take necessary actions to maintain product certifications throughout their entire lifecycle and keep the certification database updated.

Process Improvement:

  • Certification Process Development: Establish, maintain, and improve certification processes for various types of certifications through methodology, documentation, training, and tools.
  • Best Practices: Define best practices, roles, responsibilities, and tasks for each stakeholder to ensure product compliance.
  • Certification Strategy: Develop the most beneficial product configuration for efficient certification tracks per product category, country, and functionality.
  • Cost and Lead-Time Management: Challenge proposed certification strategies from external test labs and certifiers to optimize cost and lead-time.
  • Conflict Management: Manage conflicting requirements between country certifications and regulations through a well-defined policy.

 

Mandatory qualifications:

  • You have a Masters degree in a technical domain (wireless, engineering, ICT, computer science …) or equivalent by experience
  • You have preferably 2-5 years of wireless and or cyber security product certification experience in a similar design and/or production environment
  • You have a good knowledge and hands-on experience with Telecom certification. Knowledge of product safety certification and EMC certification is an added value.
  • Understand the relationships between all internal stakeholders (R&D, Engineering Logistics, Procurement, Supply Chain, Quality, Logistics, Facilities and external stakholders (Testlabs,  Certification bodies & organizations)
  • You have experience with ErP systems
  • You have experience with data management tools

Optional qualifications (added value): Barco specific experience

  • Experience with similar jobs
  • Knowledge of SAP
  • Good knowledge of the New Product Introduction process and related processes

  • Excellent knowledge of English, both oral and written (communication, documentation)
  • Good organization, planning and problem solving skills
  • Strong communication, negotiation, presentation and interpersonal skills
  • Strong analytical skills to resolve process, methodology and tool issues

Job location:

  • You will primarily be working in the headquarters of Barco (KOR)
  • You are expected to travel occasionally on short business trips
  • You will have regular teleconferences or Online conferences with US and Asia time zone
  • Your interaction will be worldwide
