Packaging Engineer

Function


To design, implement, test, document and integrate the product packaging design work, independently/with support and according to agreed constraints: timing, specifications or requirements, regulations, reproducibility, quality and cost. In conformity with common guidelines and best practices. Support establishment of common guidelines and rules, dissemination towards R&D and updating of all packaging related data in our ERP system


Key Responsibilities

 

  • To carry out the design, implementation and testing/verification of the packaging within the given constraints: time, cost, regulations, specification & quality targets.
  • To ensure that the implementation confirms to the common guidelines and best practices.
  • Ensure, that the relevant, available information gets collected, analyzed and considered for the proposed solution
  • To propose design solutions for the given task according to the given specification.
  • To ensure that the given milestones are being achieved or problems get escalated as early as possible.
  • To plan the work to be done on a personal scope.  Plan the work with high reliability. Reports problems on time if certain goals cannot be reached.
  • Ensure that required data, documentation and reports are provided in time as per the project plan.
  • Solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
  • Support the set-up of common guidelines and rules
  • Support maintenance of packaging related data in our ERP system


Qualifications

 

  • Bachelor degree – Electronics/Mechanics/Optics/Software/Product design
  • 1 or 2 years of experience in related field 
  • Required technical skills i.e. hardware design, mechanical design, Packaging design
  • High level of intellectual affectivity and flexibility
  • Analytical skills
  • Problem solving skills
  • Communication skills
  • Initiative
