Product Manager Diagnostic Imaging

The function

 

As a Product Manager in Diagnostic Imaging you are the end-to-end owner, expert and integrator of your product(s) throughout the full lifecycle. You define product (hardware, software or services) innovations aligned with Segment value propositions and based on a deep understanding of the customer needs. The portfolio to manage includes imaging solutions, of which the core products are the medical displays used for primary diagnosis and clinical review in various segments (-ologies). You align with other stakeholders to ensure revenue and customer satisfaction goals are met.

 


Key Responsibilities


End-to-End responsibility for the commercial success of a product (HW/SW) and related Services throughout the full lifecycle.

 

Strategy

  • Define winning product requirements, based on Segment Marketing needs, product/technical insights, market trends and customer personas.  
  • Focus on the customer experience, driving differentiation through a deep understanding of customer needs and best-in-class user experience thinking. Represent the customer and end-user internally and externally.
  • Conduct market, customer and internal research (input Segment Marketing) to gather product insights, supported by on-going visits to customers and non-customers. 
  • Gather competitive intelligence and perform competitive analysis.
  • Analyse and report on product/technology trends, and track competitive initiatives.
  • Define, document and communicate the roadmap and product strategy.
  • Develop the business case & define business models - prepare, organize & lead the Business Case Review.
  • Create pricing models/architecture.

Execution

  • Play an integrator role and collaborate with a wide variety of functional areas such as sales, engineering, manufacturing, product owners and operations to define product requirements, customer needs and market opportunities. Ensure effective product development progress, take the necessary decisions on MVP/feature prioritization, and manage possible roadblocks and lead beta customers (daily mgmt., communication). 
  • Lead the UX of your product.
  • Collaborate with Product Marketing on new product launches, with best in class product launch management thinking across the Customer Journey.
  • Deliver internal & partner enablement (Training, Tools, Demos).

Growth/Lifecycle

  • Own and manage the end-to-end lifecycle of product. 
  • Measure, in a data-driven way, the customer experience in order to manage enhancements and high-priority product issues.
  • Assess and implement product lifecycle initiatives. 
  • Support and propose initiatives for Services revenue growth.
  • Be the expert on the product and the competition.

 


Your profile

 

Education: 

  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • Master’s degree/MBA preferred

Experience: 

  • Minimum of 5 years in product management and product lifecycle management 
  • Must have a strong technical skill set in or know-how of a similar industry or technology
  • Is knowledgeable about the market conditions, i.e. applicable standards and regulations which apply to development and sales in certain markets. For healthcare specific: 21CFR Part 820/ISO:13485 and other country specific medical device Quality Management Systems, ISO:14971 (Risk management) & IEC 62366 (Usability) related to development of a medical device and FDA/MDR and other country specific medical device regulations related to premarket notification/registration for a medical device.
  • Experience working in a matrix organization
  • Experience working in a product-driven organization and working on the intersection of product and software
