Product Owner Cinema

Within the Cinema Business Unit we bring the experience of Movie Goers to the next level. We develop world leading laser based projectors, including state of the art media servers.
For the next generation of cinema projectors and media servers we are looking for a Software Product Owner.  In the this role your will mainly collaborate with the software teams in Kortrijk, you will also interact with out software development teams in Liege, Belgium and Noida, India and Beijing, China.

Then the job of Product Owner in the Cinema division is something for you. In this role you will be working on defining and developing the future of the Cinema business.


 

Key responsibilities 

 

  • Creates and updates the product backlog with the proper level of detail.
  • Prioritizes the backlog while focusing on the value for the Cinema customer.
  • Ensures that all stakeholders have a clear and transparent understanding of the value in the product backlog.
  • Be the customer champion in the different agile ceremonies (planning, stand ups, retrospectives, reviews).
  • Communicates clearly and proactively about risks, progress and impact of decisions regarding trade-offs.
  • Drives the mid-term breakdown (or preparation for the next product release).
  • Leads the SW release plan for Cinema hardware.
  • Performs T-shirt sizing and effort estimate of large chunks of future work for the purpose of resource planning.
  • Stands within the team - to be the voice of the customers in a fun and effective way.

 


Your profile 

 

  • You hold a higher degree combined with a minimum of 5 years professional experience in agile software development environments, ideally in a product-driven organization where you are working on the intersection of hardware & software
  • You have a proven track record in defining the winning product & portfolio strategy across a global market
  • You have a strong technical skill set or know-how of a similar industry or technology
  • You have a customer experience mindset in all you do and you put customer success first.
  • You are a team player and you have the ability to coordinate with product development, engineering and other areas throughout the organization. Here for you are confident in prioritization and are a clear communicator.
  • You are enthusiastic about your product, good at interacting with people and you are open and curious for new ideas.
  • You can conceptualize and express ideas effectively to support the engineering teams in defining products.
  • You are fluent in English.
