Supply Chain Officer for Inventory/WCAP Management

As our Supply chain officer, you are responsible for gathering and interpreting a collection of company data to generate reports, and monitor performance to improve efficiencies and drive improvement efforts within the Sales & Operations Planning process. To establish this, you work together with a world wide group of stakeholders in every domain of the Barco organization (ranging from sales over R&D to operations). 


Your key responsibilities: 

  • You manage inventory :
    • Determine required inventory levels based on sales requirements and supply possibilities
    • Worldwide inventory follow up
    • Suggest and follow-up on actions to reduce worldwide inventory
    • Active follow-up in reduction programs of slow moving and obsolete (end-of-life) inventory
    • Active follow-up in reduction programs of inventory provisions
    • Financial Inventory forecasting both on a global as site level
    • Follow-up obsolete component inventory & Last time buys.
  • You maintain and manage Sales & Operation Tools :
    • Master data maintenance,
    • Coordination with IT on availability and extra requirements
    • Assist in the phase-in and out of products from a supply chain point of view (Track global inventories, sales demo's, alignment with product management, sales & R&D…) ;
    • Collecting, analyzing and reporting of supply chain business data to senior management ;
    • Manage operational follow up for peripherals; determining requirements with sales, work with purchasing and operations to get the goods, deployment and follow-up of inventory
  • You manage write offs



Your profile

  • You hold a (master's) degree combined with a first experience (max 5 years) in an analytical or financial job
  • Having supply chain or more particular inventory management experience is of course considered as a strong asset
  • To do this job, you can rely on good knowledge of Excel, including Automatization
  • Having knowledge of SAP BI and/or Visual basics is an advantage
  • Understanding of data warehouse structures is helpful
  • Of course, you can rely on strong analytical skills & you go one step further by driving meaningful actions from large data sets
  • With your excellent organizational skills and attention to detail, you are able to prioritize your work, work under pressure & meet your deadlines.
  • In this job you work with different people form different teams. Your communication & influencing skills come in handy when connecting with those stakeholders
