Senior Optical engineer

Currently Barco Projection is looking for a Senior Optical Engineer to strengthen our team. 
 
Your responsibilities:
•    You use test equipment and projectors in order to steer the design of next generation products.
•    You conduct engineering analyses and evaluations of projection systems.
•    You lead the testing and development of optical designs.
•    You provide thorough documentation of work performed.
•    You assist the reliability and optical teams in solving field issues and mitigate identified risks.
•    You build and maintain test set-ups and/or equipment
•    You work together with other engineers in a cross-functional team (mechanics, electronics, software)
 
Your profile
•    Master’s degree or PhD in Optics, Physics or a related engineering field or equivalent job experience.
•    A strong hands-on mentality combined with analytical skills
•    Experience in evaluation and the design process of optical systems is a plus (Zemax).
•    Proven ability to work well in a (project-) team environment.
•    Good oral, written and presentation skills for interfacing with other engineers, stakeholders and/or suppliers.
•    Self-starting and approachable, enthusiastic but practical in developing new technologies
