Presales Engineer

As a Presales Engineer (or "Solution Architect") you will join our EMEA Presales team and act as expert in delivering our valued ClickShare experience with simplicity and ease-of-use.

You are responsible to support the sales organisation and the partners/customers with expert know-how on the Barco ClickShare product line through training, demonstration and technical expertise that support the conversations throughout the customer journey. As a liaison between Sales, Service and Product Management, you also collect key customers and user insights and feed them back to the product base.


Key responsibilities


  • As a Presales Engineer, you support the sales teams with answers to technical and commercial “specialist” questions. You are the go-to person for specific questions related to product specs, use and performance. 
  • You support the sales teams in trade-shows, product demos, shoot-outs & the sales process by taking ownership of the best practice in setup of the ClickShare solution.
  • You are able to provide product presentations and trainings to our customers, partners and consultants.
  • You translate customer requirements towards a technical solution leveraging your product expertise and IT (security) domain knowledge.
  • You assist the sales team in preparing technical proposals for international tenders.
  • You help customers plan and understand the best ways to utilize and integrate the Clickshare Solution within their network and IT infrastructure.
  • You collect insights and feedback on our products from customers and partners and feed them back to the product managers and R&D teams – you actively follow-up critical deployments and issues ensuring the right priorities are set.
  • You proactively support and communicate towards customers and partners with the adequate level of information on new products or product updates.
  • You work on multiple customer accounts simultaneously and in an international environment. 


We are looking for a new colleague who


  • Has a Master’s degree in Engineering or equivalent by experience
  • Has 3+ years of experience in a similar position (presales, technical sales)
  • Has a 'customer first' mentality (both for internal and external customers)
  • Has experience with corporate deployments and networks preferably within an IT organisation – understanding the language of IT and network security
  • Has excellent presentation and communications skills (oral & written). You are able to bring a message in a very clear and understandable way 
  • Has affinity with technical aspects of a product range and are willing to learn
  • Has a commercial mindset and is a problem solver
  • Builds a deep understanding of how the product works, what the value proposition of the product is to the customers and how the product is used
  • Is a real team player and you are good at interacting with sales, service and product management
  • Performs multiple assignments on schedule
  • Is flexible - willing to travel when required
  • Located in Paris area, operating from home or our Nanterre office
  • Communicates fluently in French and English – other languages are an asset
