R&D Lead/Software Development Lead @ Barco NOIDA.

We are seeking highly accomplished Software Development Lead who can be part of the Business Enablement Software group which develops products and solutions using Salesforce platform at Barco Noida. The person should preferably have worked as Software Development Manager in any Enterprise Software product or Cloud organization as well experience in developing and delivering software products in agile methodology.  He/she should have a great combination software design skills and technical communication skills. The person should be driven and have a good combination of managerial skills (people, product and project) and software design skills. He / She should have managed teams of the size of around 15-20 software professionals.  The right candidate should be passionate about software and technology product development, excellent communicator, comfortable with ambiguous environments, and can move fast, bring people and technology together.

 

About the Role

R&D Leader is a management role at Business Enablement Group at Barco and leads one or more product squads. The R&D Leader is responsible for co-developing the vision and leading software product development teams in a specific site. He/she develops and communicates the strategic direction for the software teams He/she has final accountability for the delivery, the performance & the people leadership of the different squads. He/she provides the final level of advice and recommendations to maximize the outcomes of software product development investments to the business leaders at different divisions of Barco. He/she works closely with various teams to maximize engagement and defines skill growth and location strategies

 

 

 

 

 

 

 Specific details about the role are as follows:

 

  • As part of this role you will be responsible for leading software technology group for Barco’s Business Enablement Group which is responsible for developing and owning Barco’s Digital Engagement Platform on Salesforce.
  • You will be involved in and expected to contribute on design, development, and implementation of enterprise software platform like Salesforce, CloudCraze.
  • Should have working experience on design capabilities of Salesforce.
  • As part of this role you will be managing and lead a team of around 10-15 developers across multiple Agile Squads.
  • You will work closely with Developers and Product Owners, System and Solution architects across different locations to define and gain adoption of clean, well-designed contracts and best practices across the entire product line.

  • Identifies technology trends and behaviors/competences that may support or impede the success of the business in our agile and digital way of working.  
  • Knows the software ecosystem and players in the region to boost capabilities and leverage knowledge/practices/insights 
  • Drives the continued change management needed in the site to make it a world class software center 
  • Leads strategic planning to achieve business goals by identifying and prioritizing development initiatives and acts as a senior business partner in this matter.
  • Creates/recommends methodologies, standards, best practices that can support the teams & the business

  • Proactively drives team member development and inter team dynamics to increase engagement, team efficiency and effectiveness and to enable long term employability 
  • Stimulates an inspiring agile culture of trust and empowerment with a global mindset  
  • Acts as an organization, team and talent builder of several cross functional teams and with the involved businesses, taking into account the future competence needs 
  • Participates as a member of the management team in establishing governance processes to ensure that people & organizational objectives are achieved (performance, talent, reward, onboarding, people planning) 

Results Leadership: 

  • Plans or implements objectives in coordination with other R&D Leaders to strengthen the vision, to maximize returns on investment and/or to increase productivity. 
  • Develops and tracks the annual operating and team budgets for purchasing, staffing, and operations.

 

About the Successful Candidate

The successful candidate is a self-motivated leader who can deal with complex problems, has a vision to take the organization to the next level. The candidate must be experienced in developing applications as well and should be able to understand the salesforce development platform.

 

Preferred Skills and Experience:

We are seeking experience with the following technologies/domains:

  • B.S/M.S. in Computer Science, Software Engineering or related technical discipline
  • At least 15-20 years of experience in building Enterprise software products and Cloud Services out of which last 5-7 years in Software Development Manager responsibilities.
  • Prior experience on Salesforce platform, subscription management platforms like Zuora, Flexera is MUST.
  • Prior experience in Leading product and cloud technology teams across diverse technology stack on C++/Node.js/Java preferably Multi-tenant SaaS/PaaS Services using microservices architecture on any of the cloud environments AWS/Azure/Oracle Public Cloud.
  • Proven ability to develop and ship high quality software products in Agile development environments.
  • Should have high emotional quotient, self-driven and shows technology leadership in complex and ambiguous situations.
