SAP Integration Developer - PI/PO & CPI

Purpose of Role

The Integration Developer will be responsible to demonstrate extensive understanding and proficient skills in all related areas SAP PI/PO, CPI and ABAP/4 programming. The Integration Developer will be a key contributor who will review the Integration requirements, design, and develop interfaces meeting business requirements. This position will work closely with other team members to meet the A2A, B2B, B2C and B2G integration development requirements as well as effectively addressing unique requirements as they arise. The person in this position is expected to cooperate with colleagues and workgroups, practice on-going self-development and demonstrate behaviors that are aligned with the Company's vision, mission and values statements. 

 

Your Profile   

  • Designs integration processes and develops source-to-target data mappings and integration interface definitions
  • Recommends and implements technical standard methodologies and integration patterns to ensure alignment to defined project standards for all components
  • Work with EDI Coordinator and the business teams to coordinate the implementation of new trading partner relationships
  • Implement EDI transaction sets (example ORDRS, ORDRSP, DESADV, INVOIC ..)
  • Implement enhancements and fixes to SAP ABAP EDI related user-exits and performs ABAP, Proxy and Gateway development as required for SAP EDI integration enhancements
  • Manage technical design, estimate, development, testing, documentation and implementation activities for all Interface objects.
  • Provide support for SAP ERP and SAP PI upgrades.
  • Collaborate with the Functional and development teams to architect efficient and stable integrations and provide solutions for any problems that arise.
  • Help with proof of concepts, analysis and build prototypes to ensure proposed solution can meet business requirements
  • Translate user requirements, specification documents and system objectives into logical, economical, and practical technical designs. Design complex ABAP programs to meet the requirements for forms, reports, interfaces, conversions and enhancements.
  • Conducts complex troubleshooting and diagnosis on Production break/fix and system performance issues, and involve configurators, end users and the Basis team as necessary.
  • Support and maintain mission-critical ABAP programs.

 

 

 

Qualifications
 

Knowledge/Skill/Ability:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or technology and minimum of 6 years of experience in SAP PI/PO, CPI, and SAP ECC.
  • 6+ Years of developing A2A, B2B, B2C and B2G interfaces.
  • Experienced in integration of SAP, SAP Cloud and Non-SAP Cloud applications with On-premise solutions. Experience in SAP EHP6 or above, SAP PI 7.31 or above, SAP Hana Cloud Platform.
  • SAP PO Configuration, design, development, Alert Setup, and message monitoring. Configuration and implementation of SAP PO adapter types (Idoc, RFC, JDBC, File, SOAP, WS, JMS, HTTP, REST and Proxy and B2B).
  • Strong working experience in ABAP enhancements, ABAP Proxies, Rfc, IDocs, ALE configuration, Partner profiles, Ports, Enhancements, error processing, troubleshooting. Progressive in-depth experience in ABAP Object oriented programming, JAVA, JAVASCRIPT and ODATA Services.
  • Knowledge and experience in information systems support in an SAP environment with a proven record of accomplishment in the planning, development, and implementation of projects on time and budget.
  • Extensive knowledge of RDBMS database interface, SQL and operating system functions between SAP and RDBMS engines/optimizers. Knowledge of HANA database is a plus.
  • Experience developing in all key modules of SAP such as SD, PP, MM, WM, FICO, PLM, PS as well as ASAP methodology
  • Knowledge and experience in AIF – Application Interface Framework.
  • Experience in designing and developing interfaces using SAP Cloud Integration Suite – SAP CPI, API Management.
  • Should have a strong understanding of SOA and ESB.
  • Extensive knowledge and experience with SAP Workflow and with Solution Manager 7.2
  • Ability to deal with ambiguity and identify/communicate areas for improvement within existing environment
