Sales Engineer – US Immersive Experiences

We are looking for a strong Sales Engineer to join our IX Presales team.
As a Sales Engineer IX, part of a global presales team and would focus on the US organization (mostly west coast). Responsible for supporting the sales organization and the partners/customers with expert know-how on the Barco Image Processing suite through training, demonstrations, designs and technical expertise. Support adjacent Barco technologies such as Projection.
Support the conversations throughout the customer journey and focus efforts on sales colleagues and customers involved in Events and Rental and staging. As part of the broader team, be involved in Fixed Installations (themed entertainment, projection mapping, experience centers, cruise lines, … ), simulation and virtual reality segments.
Key responsibilities
- Support the sales teams with answers to technical and commercial “specialist” questions. Be the go-to person for product specifications, configurations, application and performance.
- Interface regularly with the sales team or accompany them on customer visits to understand the customer/partner needs.
- Translate customer requirements towards a technical solution/design leveraging your product expertise. Use 3D CAD tools to design, visualize and deploy AV systems.
- Propose and communicate solutions to the customer.
- Customize and deliver product presentations and trainings to our customers, partners and consultants.
- Support the sales teams in trade-shows, product demos, shoot-outs & the sales process by taking ownership of the best practice in setup.
- Collect insights and feedback on our products from customers and partners and feed them back to the product managers and R&D teams.
- Become part of selected Key Account teams as a technical POC.
- Lend expertise where-ever required to ensure a high-quality customer experience (e.g. occasional field intervention, operational follow up of demo material flows, …)
- Report to the Global Director Presales & Commercial excellence and provide structured updates on your efforts.
We are looking for a new colleague who has...
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
- 5 years experience in the Audio Visual field providing high end video solutions.
- Experience in live production environments a plus.
- Experience in Salesforce and 3D CAD tools is an advantage
- Has a customer first mentality (both for internal as external customers).
- Experience with technical aspects of a product range and willing to learn
- Excellent presentation and communications skills (oral & written).
- Good at interacting with sales, service and product management
- Willing to travel extensively, on occasion internationally. (50-70%)
Can live anywhere in the US, near an airport
