You will be part of a team of legal, compliance & risk professionals with colleagues in Belgium, the US, China and Taiwan.
Key Responsibilities
  • Your primary task will be to assist the Compliance Manager in the roll-out, implementation, continuous improvement and monitoring of the company’s global compliance program, including:
    • implementing compliance related policies, guidelines and the updates thereof;
    • organizing trainings and awareness campaigns for employees and the company’s business partners;
    • managing and regularly updating the IT tool used to report and archive compliance cases;
    • preparing reports on the status of the compliance management system for the management and Audit Committee;
    • ensuring the liaison with the legal & compliance responsibles for the subsidiaries across the globe;
    • preparing the yearly ‘risk and compliance gap analysis’ interviews with the legal & compliance responsibles
    • investigating compliance cases in conjunction with the Internal Audit and the HR team.
  • You will also assist with the implementation of the successor of the Contract Management Module, the Barco wide contract repository. You will monitor its use, take care of the access control, prepare frequent management reports on contract data and work with the solutions provider to further improve its user friendliness.
  • You will manage a global knowledge base of compliance related topics and keep the relevant business segments and functions informed about upcoming regulatory changes.
  • You will have frequent contacts on a worldwide basis with colleagues from general management (finance, HR, IT), sales, R&D, supply chain functions.


We are looking for a new colleague who
  • Has a Bachelor’s degree in Law, Management Assistance, Languages or Communications.
  • Has experience in an administrative support role, ideally gained at the legal department of an international company.
  • Shows an understanding of basic legal and regulatory concepts.
  • Is well acquainted with the standard MS Office packages such as Word, Excel and Powerpoint, and ideally also Sharepoint as well as SAP ERP-system.
  • Finally, you have an excellent command of Dutch and English, both oral and written. Additional language skills will definitely be a plus.
