As one of our Business Domain Architects within the IT department, you are the bridge between the enterprise architecture and the business stakeholders which means you define and guard the overall functional and application architecture on all applications and solutions in the domains of Manufacturing, Procurement & Quality. Your overall goal is to ensure the systems and distributed solutions in those domains deliver optimal value for these business groups.
 
Your key responsibilities:
  • You capture the business demands and translate them into well defined business requirements.
  • You analyse the business demand, consults- and advise the Barco Management to ensure delivered solutions functionally and technically meet the business needs,  on the short and long term
  • You assist business stakeholders (mainly business process owners & business process experts) in defining functional business cases for new projects and business solutions, translate business requirements into specifications for customizing or developments, and in specific cases do customizing himself/herself or assist the Functional Analysts or external experts to do so
  • You support the delivery of projects, releases and changes throughout the delivery of the various demands to make sure the business demands are delivered conform with the original approved business requirements
  • You analyze application utilization and capabilities; designs and deploys best business practices around applications and solutions ensuring data control and quality
  • As part of the team of Business Domain Architects, you make sure that all solutions are consistent and aligned across all relevant business domains. You will also follow guidelines and standards defined by Enterprise Architecture
  • You work also work together with the security & enterprise architect as well as the functional analysts.
We are looking for a new colleague who:
  • You hold a master degree in computer science, applied economics and/or (civil) engineering, informatics or equivalent combination of education and working experience
  • You have a minimum of 8 years relevant work experience in process management or architecture in one or more of the mentioned areas (Manufacturing, Procurement, Quality). This means of course you have a good understanding of business processes in the above mentioned areas.
  • You bring knowledge in SAP on several of the following processes: production planning, manufacturing execution, material Management, quality management. Experience in SAP BW and other data warehousing concepts is also considered an asset. Expertise in SAP APO DP is a nice plus.
  • You have excellent analytical skills and are able to present your analysis in a clear & consize way to your key stakeholders
  • You have the necessary influencing & cooperative skills to get things done
  • You have good organizing skills which enable you to manage different tasks & projects simultaneously
