To strengthen our team, we are looking for an experienced Healthcare Professional Service Engineer with a strong technical background.




In this role, you…

  • provide a set of services to partners and end-customers which go beyond the standard warranty and break-fix support
  • are responsible for expert delivery and execution of a number of long-term engagements with partners, as well as one-off professional services
  • contribute to generating Service Revenue and focus on your billable time
  • are known and respected as a technical expert in the healthcare domain
  • share customer insights collected through your daily interactions with end-users with our Product and Engineering teams
As our Healthcare Professional Service Engineer, you…
  • manage a named set of customer contracts and are responsible for the delivery of contractual agreed services within SLA.
  • assist our sales teams in selling professional services; you help them with their commercial proposals and provide support when needed
  • act as a single point of contact for selected customers, organizing regular status meetings, both onsite and remote
  • build a close relationship with stakeholders at customer site and watch over their customer satisfaction with Barco’s services and products
  • monitor remotely complete customer environments, equipped by our diagnostic or surgical equipment. You take proactive and corrective actions as required
  • escalate urgent technical problems through the right channels and maintain the communication with your customers.
  • deliver a set of ad-hoc services e.g. advanced product training, replacement strategy and certification tracks (onsite and classroom based)
  • participate actively in developing the portfolio of services, standard deliverables, SOP’s and templates; and ensure consistency in deliverables amongst the team and focus on continuous improvement
  • overlook the complete installed base of partners and their customers and provide recommendations
  • based on your market and customer insights, provide feedback to product management and engineering teams on customer needs and value propositions

Profile: technical expert - commercial flair - conviction - leadership

  • Master or bachelor in a technical domain (preferably in IT or Electronics)
  • Min. 5 years’ relevant experience in Healthcare IT, e.g. as a Professional Services Engineer or Consultant
  • Proven experience and understanding of technology, processes and regulations used in hospitals, this both in medical systems and software environments (Radiology or/and Surgical)
  • Fluent in English and Dutch; French is a plus.
  • Able to travel up to 35% within the EMEA region
  • Excellent training and communication skills, both verbal and written. Able to communicate effectively with executive management, engineers and end-users
  • Commercial flair; able to detect opportunities,
  • Able to present & defend new offering concept both internally and towards customers; power of persuasion
  • You possess leadership skills, are culturally aware and have a solid understanding of international business and (Healthcare) industry trends
  • You work structured and disciplined, watching over the quality of deliverables
