As an HR Business Partner you provide HR support to Barco employees and managers cross-divisions.  You are the first point of contact for both individual managers and employees to support them in all HR related issues. You support in converting the HR strategy and roll out of the activities in the business.
You actively contribute to the delivery of HR activities, and work in close cooperation with the HR Center of Expertise and the Shared Service Center.
You will develop an open and active working relationship with the unions.
You will be part of the cross divisional HRBP team and report to the Global divisional HR BP.
Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver HR programs and solutions locally/in business group in line with the global HR Strategy and Plan and in close collaboration with HR Centers of Expertise / Shared Service Center
  • Challenge and support line managers to improve business performance by using and applying available HR programs, processes, tools and policies.
  • Proactively build and promote strong employee trust and open communication between all levels
  • Coach both leaders and employees on HR related issues (e.g. advise employees on career development, perform coaching and monitoring, support selecting the right talents, …)
  • Specific areas of focus include

  • Provide HR advice and support regarding strategic actions such as acquisitions and organizational changes.
  • Secure quality in HR data and analysis of HR data to understand trends and resolve problems in order to support the capability of the organization.
  • Works closely with HR Center of Expertise and Shared Services as well as relevant HR Business Partner network to ensure effective joint delivery of HR services to the assigned organizations

We are looking for a new employee who…
  • Has a Master degree or equivalent combination of appropriate qualifications and experience
  • Has a few years of experience in one or more HR areas are preferred (organization development, business partner, talent management, staffing, payroll, HRIS, training, …)
  • Has experience in working in an international matrix organization
  • Is a diplomatic, assertive and dynamic individual who is proactive in communications and able to develop effective relationships at all levels within the company
  • Demonstrated high integrity and trust, ethics and values and a drive for result
  • Has solid analytical skills and demonstrated ability to solve problems quickly with high quality
  • Shows a high energy level, comfortably performing multifaceted initiatives in conjunction with day-to- day activities independently
  • Has excellent communication skills, with experience in influencing others with well thought out recommendations, as well as strong presentations skills and ability to present to a wide range of audiences
  • Shows understanding of cultural differences, ability to build up relationships throughout the company
  • Has strong listening and negotiating qualities with good conflict resolution skills
  • Is fluent in speaking and writing Dutch and has good knowledge of business English
