Due to our continued growth, Barco is expanding its worldwide sales organization.
We are seeking an experienced professional with a proven track record to join our sales team as Business Development Manager Control Rooms for the Italian Control Room market. You will interact with the different local system integrators, partners, consultants and end-users. Equally as important: you will be willing to contribute to, and share in the fun that goes with our continued success.
The candidate we are looking for will be dynamic, enthusiastic, hard-working, tech-savy and self-motivated.
Key Responsibilities
  • You will implement, cultivate and maintain strong relationships within the sales channel consisting of system integrators, local partners, consultants and end-users to maximize Barco‚Äôs reach and presence on the market.
  • You develop and maintain the ideal sales channels and assure continuous business growth in the target markets.
  • You support sales channels in the best way on new products, individual tenders, and identified business opportunities for winning the business with Barco.
  • You manage Key Accounts strategically & tactically; you build an intimate relationship with all stake holders.
  • You translate the customer needs into Barco solutions and offerings.
  • You assist and participate in trade shows and events within the region.
  • You are a proud ambassador for Barco. You maintain a lasting and positive impression with all contacts through efficient use of product knowledge and customer service approach.
  • You provide regular forecasting, market intelligence and competitive analysis.You develop strong collaboration with the regional sales team in Italy as well as with functional leaders in Belgium.




We are looking for a new colleague who
  • Has a degree in Economics, Engineering or equivalent or combination of education and experience;
  • Has proven sales experience in government, defense and similar markets;
  • Has proven sales experience in managing tender processes and consultative selling;
  • Has proven sales experience to key accounts as well as partner based business approach;
  • Shows successful practice in developing sales strategies, building and managing funnel and business plans and putting them into practice;
  • Has a good technical understanding or technical background;
  • Is able to perform in a complex matrix organization and in an international environment;
  • Demonstrates high self motivation and team spirit;
  • Is willing to travel extensively, nationally or internationally, depending on the various types of business developed in the region. Focus in this case will be on key account in the Rome area;
  • Communicates fluently in Italian (mother tongue) and English.
