We are currently looking for a Sales Support Engineer.  In this position you would support the North American Sales Team sales process by defining, preparing and demoing technical winning solutions to Barco customers.

 
  • Become a product expert with superior ability to effectively demonstrate through technical demonstrations and presentations Barco technologies to customers.
  • Participate in the creation and delivery of technical and functional sales presentations showcasing the latest Barco products and features.
  • Accompany sales team on customer visits to understand their needs.
  • Perform product demonstrations in Barco showrooms, at tradeshows, and on customer sites across North America to highlight product differentiation offerings.
  • Fully understand customer requirements utilizing Barco product.
  • Translate the customer requirements into a Barco solution.
  • Verify with integrators & sales team that our Barco solution is fully in line with the customer expectations.
  • Provide product and system training to customers, partners, and end-users.
  • Work closely together with sales, project management, service, product management, engineering.
  • Responsible for validating Barco project proposals on projects.
  • Working on multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Lead technical responses to RFI / RFP
 
 
Key Responsibilities

We are looking for someone with:

 
  • A Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science. A combination of education, certification and experience is acceptable.
  • Proven experience in technical product application or engineer field
 
 
 
Competencies:
 
 
Technical:
  • IT/AV and/or technical experience required
  • Good understanding of networks and switches
  • Solid understanding of virtualized environments
  • Certifications: CTS, CCNA, CCNP, CCNA, CCNP, CNE, CCIE, or Network+, a plus
  • Experience supporting Windows, Linux/UNIX systems and applications
  • Experience with software, wired and wireless networked, enterprise software solutions is preferred
  • RTP, RTSP, H264, H265, and encoding knowledge a plus
  • Solid understanding of PowerPoint & Excel - Visio a plus

  • Possess discipline and integrity to work independently
  • Able to travel up to 50%
