Purpose of the job:

 

The mission of Business Development is to develop the market:

  • Prospect, identify and develop new sales opportunities.

  • Build a network, develop & maintain strong working relationships with partners, system integrators, end users, Architects/PMCs & consultants in order to detect and influence the opportunities at an early stage.  

  • Act as SPOC for the end customer.

 

Main accountabilities:

 

  • Key Account Mapping & Management

  • Deliver for Barco Projectors, Image Processors & Direct view LED Wall (In workspace- Govt & Enterprise) revenue goals established for each quarter in line with the business plan by selling goods and services to customers in India & SAARC countries.

  • Work closely with Distributor, End customers, Architects, Consultants, PMCs to identify and develop new opportunities and maintain existing customers.

  • Synchronize, Explore and assess additional channels in order to maximize revenue in consideration of the Barco channel strategy.

  • Develop the market, by identifying key programs / projects in the India and Participate/Contribute to professional association within his market and work closely with Consultants operating in the ecosystem.

  • Manage processes for creating quotes, managing sales cycle in CRM, developing and negotiating proposals, and commercial agreements. Likewise, track business opportunities and performance of the sales funnel in addition to providing  regular forecasting, market intelligence and competitive analysis to Sales Management , Segment marketing and product management. 

  • Maximize opportunity conversion rate by supporting local partners and customers through the different sales stages, with both commercial and technical advice. Translate the customer needs into Barco winning solutions and offerings. 

  • Responsible for growing Barco sales and funnel in the targeted country,either by increasing our sales within managed end-user accounts or by end-customer acquisition.  

  • Support Barco new product launch by evangelizing the solution to the managed accounts. 

  • Establish contact  and secure demo opportunities with key prospects as well as close deals during on-site visits or industry events. 

  • Follow up on  leads generated by Barco campaigns. 

  • Analyze the customers needs and provide the appropriate value proposition in return. 

  • Report on weekly visits and funnel management; Keep up-to-date records in the company's CRM system. 

  • Monitor technology and market factors and provide market intelligence to Sales management, Segment marketing and Product management.

 

Qualifications

 

Education:

Bachelor or Master degree (business, marketing, engineering) or equivalent combination of education and experience.

 

Experience:

 

Min 6-8 years of proven sales /Business Development/Key Account Management experience in related industry/technology.

 

People management:

 

  • Strong and assured communicating and presenting skills. 

  • Collaboration skills as there is a clear interaction needed between the different team role eg BDM - consultant account manager - channel manager

 

 Competencies and requirements:

 

  • Hunting skills.

  • High level sales negotiating skills with outstanding relationship building abilities.  

  • Be bottom-line oriented, budget-conscious and metric/measurement driven. 

  • A highly driven individual, possessing initiative and a willingness ‘to go that extra mile to close the deal’. Can recognize the importance and value of Key accounts management and has a proven track record of meeting and exceeding targets.

  • Proficient and creative, high level sales negotiator with outstanding relationship building abilities. Able to articulate the benefits of the products to his customers and is fully conversant with professional sales techniques and forecasting.

  • Knowledge & good connect with the following markets and associated ecosystem is very welcome

  • Audiovisual  (system integrators, consultants)

  • Enterprise, PMC, Architects

  • Direct View LED videowall. 

  • A strong and assured communicator and presenter, who is able to gain personal credibility with client managers. Is able to work in a diplomatic and professional manner in order to achieve client trust and confidence

  • Excellent English & Hindi language skills, other local languages are an asset.

  • Computer proficiency including the “Microsoft Office package” and will be able to use SAP CRM after an initial training programme.

  • Affinity with technical products and technical understanding.
