Function 

 

The Business Development (Surgical Modality) will sell hardware, software, and services to target and assigned accounts in line with Barco sales strategy and tactics. Customers channel partners (SI, resellers, OEM). Prospect, identify and develop new sales opportunities.

 

Key Responsibilities 

  • Execute the sales plan by selling hardware, software, and services to surgical and modality customers / partners 

  • Realize personal sales targets by meeting partners, follow up on sales leads, making targeted cold calls

  • Analyze partners needs and provide the appropriate value proposition in return

  • Provide quotations in line with applicable pricing and other related commercial terms

  • Negotiate contract terms and conditions in accordance with the guidelines and contract administration objectives

  • Keep up-to-date records in the company's CRM system

  • Ensure partner expectations are met or exceeded

  • Interface and provide regular sales forecast and reports, and feedback on marketing and products / services to sales management

  • Prospect new business

  • Monitor technology and market factors and provide market intelligence to market management

 

Experience

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience within surgical imaging , OR integration and or surgical robotics market required

  • A degree (business, marketing, or engineering) or equivalent combination of education and experience is preferred

  • Surgical Imaging and B to B capital sales experience preferred - software sales, AI, EMR, logistics, scheduling and other highly considered

  • Experience with complex B2B medical device sales to partners at the C-suite level a plus.

  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.

  • Strong forecast capability

  • Excellent phone and presentation skills

  • Proven demonstration skills with technical products

  • Successful, documented sales track record of achievement

  • Able to travel up to 70% to regional customer sites, tradeshows, corporate meetings, etc.

  • Completion of professional sales training courses strongly desired, e.g., Miller Heiman, Spin Selling, etc.

  • Familiarity with CRM systems is required

  • Remote position
