Network Systems Specialist

The Function:

The 3rd level support team in our Enterprise division handles complex customer issues. Within this team of international support experts each colleague has his own scope based on his/her expertise/technical background.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide 3rd level support as technical system expert for the customers of our Enterprise Division focusing on our Meeting Experiences offers.
  • Participate in expert help desk activities and provide international on premise corrective actions towards our clients.
  • Analyze incidents and problems, reproduce issues in our Lab and closely collaborate with the different relevant R&D engineers to come to a solution for our partners and customers. 
  • You sporadically participate in installations and configurations, on-site customer training, demo and tradeshow setup, operational system care.
  • Proactively maintain our knowledgebase and your own knowledge regarding the supported products and related technologies (operating systems, routers, switches, wireless).
  • Support second-line collaborators both internal and with our worldwide partners.
  • Provide frequent field feedback to sales, project management and service colleagues in order to maintain the loop between the division and its customers.
  • Report potential project risks to Customer Project Management during installation phase.
  • Validate engineering and beta builds of our products from a customer point of view.
  • The interface between the regional teams and the R&D department and coordinate the actions in case of escalations.

 

We are looking for a Barco colleague who...

  • Holds a Bachelor’s degree in Electronics or Computer Science. Experienced in IT with strong customer orientation. Recent graduates in Computer Science majors with strong networking knowledge are also welcome to apply.
  • Has experience in at least two of the following domains: IT Network configuration (wireless, routers, switches), System Engineering, DevOps, SaaS software support or Customer service. 
  • Possesses strong analytical skills and eye for detail and quality.
  • Able to work independently and are very client-centered and service minded.
  • At ease at all levels of communication and can display diplomacy where needed.
  • Fully conversational in English, other languages are an asset.
  • Flexible to travel to world wide customers (max 25 percent).
