Key Account Manager Healthcare Global Accounts

Barco is looking for a Key Account Manager to manage, develop & grow existing Healthcare accounts in Germany that have a large, multinational footprint. Finding new accounts will also be a part of the role.


This position is a senior manager position as it requires managing large, multinational  accounts. The role is part of the EMEA Healthcare Key Account team and will report to the Key Account Director.



Key Responsibilities


  • You maximize sales and total key account potential;
  • You get in-depth insights in and knowledge of key accounts’ strategy & business approach; 
  • You manage the accounts strategically & tactically; 
  • You build an intimate long term relationship with all relevant stakeholders;
  • You detect and develop new (strategic) business opportunities within the existing accounts;
  • You develop, implement and manage key account plans and processes according to the Barco key account planning methodology;
  • You secure and make key account information available internally in accordance with company processes and tooling;
  • You provide key input on financial and logistics forecasting;
  • You steer and influence other internal stakeholders (sales staff, other departments, divisions, regions,…) in order to realize key account plans and objectives;
  • You suggest optimization of company processes and organization in function of the key accounts;
  • You acquire & develop new accounts. 



We are looking for a new colleague who


  • Has a Master’s degree in business, economics, marketing, engineering or equivalent; 
  • Demonstrates 10+ years experience in sales, account management, market/business development in the Healthcare industry;
  • Experience in the area of Diagnostic Imaging, Healthcare IT or Surgical is a plus;
  • Has strong relationship building, influencing and people skills; 
  • Is an excellent communicator: written, verbal and presentation; 
  • Has an analytical mindset;
  • Is fluent in English and German;
  • Will be based in Germany, with the possibility of a Home Office contract;
  • Is flexible to travel up to 35% within Germany and frequently to the Belgian headquarters in Kortrijk.
