AP Accountant

Barco’s finance department is well-regarded both inside and outside the company. The EMEA Finance Team is looking for a Senior AP Accountant to join the team based in Kortrijk.

Key Responsibilities

• Handle the Accounts Payable function for a set of legal entities in EMEA, including our HQ company.
• Communicate with external vendors and internal stakeholders regarding queries in the procure-to-pay process.
• Reconcile Accounts Payable balances from the subledger to the General Ledger, perform vendor aging analysis, and monitor specific vendor conditions.
• Schedule payment runs for both external and intercompany partners.
• Support the monthly closing process, including reporting on AP KPIs such as Days Payable Outstanding (DPO).
• Act as a subject matter expert in the AP domain, contributing to continuous improvement and automation of the end-to-end process.
• Collaborate with IT and other internal departments to support AP-related discussions.

Your Profile

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting/finance or equivalent experience.
• A minimum of 3/4 years of experience within Accounts Payable in a larger corporation.
• Fluency in English (company’s main language) with basic knowledge of Dutch.
• Excellent verbal, listening, and written communication skills.
• Experience with ERP systems, preferably SAP/VIM, and good knowledge of MS Excel.
• Structured, hands-on, and proactive work style with the ability to meet deadlines.
• A collaborative team player with a can-do attitude.
