Function

Do you want to be part of creating the production process for the next generation of Barco products, where the most advanced laser projectors on the market are built today?

We are looking for a Senior Automation Engineer to develop our new production systems.

In this function:

• You go from setting up new production cells with robotics, motion & vision systems to continuous improvement of existing processes.
• You work closely together with R&D to review product designs and provide your input, to help producing our products in the most efficient way possible.
• You will have a variety of tools & methodologies at your disposal: EPLAN, TIA portal, Halcon, Open CV, camera & optical systems, 3D printers, proto-workshops and access to worldwide suppliers.
• You are part of team of a young and more seasoned engineers who will support you to get you up to speed as soon as possible. Barco is proud of its training program, we strongly believe in continuous learning….

Your profile

• You have a Master’s degree in Engineering - specialization in automation is a plus.
• Relevant experience in developing machines and tools for production setups

• You have knowledge of:

• Industrial automation (Siemens PLC, motion control, robotics, vision, …)
• 1 or more program languages (e.g. Python, C#, C++, .net, scripting languages, …)
• Vacuum technology  (is a plus)
• Soldering techniques ( is a plus)

• You gain energy from creating and implementing creative and innovative solutions.
• You can handle multiple tasks/projects in parallel, sometimes changing in priorities.
• You take the lead in new challenging projects 
• You are positive, assertive and you have a “can do” mentality
• You always challenge the status quo
• You communicate fluently, both written and spoken, in English and Dutch.
