As an EMEA Accountant, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our financial records, contributing to our continued success and growth. You will become part of the EMEA accounting team with a scope of 10 legal entities across the EMEA region (Belgium, Germany, France, UK, Norway and Spain). Additionally, our team provides support to and works closely together with the local regional accounting teams across the globe.

Your key responsibilities:
- Coordinate the month-end closing process in line with the Barco closing calendar and checklist, considering key policies and procedures in accordance with IFRS
- Interpret and perform more complex accounting transactions (e.g. payroll processing, provisions, margin and inventory postings…) and support peer accountants and accounting administrators
- Perform periodic account reconciliations and take ownership of the balance sheet for the entities in scope
- Prepare local GAAP annual accounts and appendices (where applicable) and interact with international accounting firms
- Act as a sparring partner for the finance business partners and business controllers
- Prepare the quarterly and yearly consolidation package and liaise with the consolidation team
- Support in the preparation of internal and external audits
- Support digital automation projects in the accounting/finance domain
- Represent the accounting domain in various meetings with internal stakeholders of different functions/departments
- Participate in various projects to enhance our financial processes and reporting
Who you are:
- You hold a BSc/MSc degree in Accountancy/Finance
- You are systems and process savvy. You have experience with an ERP? That’s a plus.
- You have a good understanding of the concept profit and cost centers
- You are skilled in navigating complex challenges, adept at prioritizing tasks, and committed to meeting corporate deadlines with respect and efficiency
- You exhibit keen attention to detail and sharp analytical skills
- You possess good communication skills in Dutch and a professional working proficiency in English
