Embedded Software Engineer

Function:
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Embedded Software Developer to join our Diagnostic Imaging team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and optimizing embedded software for cutting-edge diagnostic imaging display products. Your contributions will directly impact the creation of high-performance, reliable, and innovative display solutions for medical imaging applications, ensuring compliance with industry standards and enhancing healthcare diagnostics.  

Key Responsibilities:
- Translate user stories and requirements into practical implementations aligned with our software architecture.  
- Optimize software for performance, power efficiency, and reliability in resource-constrained environments.  
- Debug and troubleshoot low-level hardware/software interactions to resolve issues and enhance system performance.  
- Collaborate with hardware engineers to define system requirements and validate designs.  
- Integrate software components into complete systems and perform functional, integration, and performance testing (CI/CD).  
- Ensure software meets medical device standards (e.g. IEC 62304, risk management) and complies with regulatory requirements.  
- Document software design, implementation, and testing processes for internal and external stakeholders.  
- Stay updated with industry trends, technologies, and best practices in embedded systems and medical device development.  

We Are Looking For a Colleague Who:
- Holds at least a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or equivalent education and experience.  
- Has hands-on experience with the technologies and skills outlined in the Key Responsibilities section.  
- Is motivated to produce self-explanatory, high-quality code
- Brings professional and/or practical experience in healthcare-related industries or technologies.  
- Can work autonomously in a dynamic, global organization.  
- Has strong communication skills; fluency in English is required, and proficiency in Dutch is a plus.
