Finance Business Controller

Business controlling at Barco means teaming up with the finance business partners and worldwide local finance teams to bring insights to the corporate leadership team, CFO and CEO to drive results towards external and internal financial targets. The finance department has a strong reputation inside and outside Barco. As several colleagues have taken up internal new challenges and expanded their current scope of work, the VP corporate finance and group controller are looking for a junior business controller to become part of the finance business control team in Kortrijk.

Do you have a first experience in audit or controlling and a can do attitude than you might be the colleague we are looking for!

Function

• Assist the business and finance business partners via (ad hoc) analyses;
• Help in finding a solution for business questions (via margin calculations and optimization, product costing calculations,…)
• Preparation and assistance in the monthly financial closing of the business units, operations and functions
• Financial analysis of indirect and direct costs
• Active participation in the yearly budgeting process
• You show interest in the processes and the business reality behind the numbers and love to spar with different stakeholders

Qualifications:

• Masters degree in Economics, finance or related major
• 2-5 years of experience in external audit or controlling
• Analytical mindset
• Systems and process savvy, good excel knowledge is a must; ERP/SAP knowledge is a plus
• Strong interpersonal skills, able to work in a global team environment with a lot of cultural and international diversity
• Can deal with complexity, can prioritize, able to manage & respect corporate deadlines
• Proactive ‘can do’ mentality
• As part of an international group, fluent English writing and speaking skills are a must
