The Indirect Procurement Category Professional will be responsible primarily for the procurement and contracting of construction, professional services (i.e., architectural / engineering services), facility maintenance services and materials, and other services as assigned. We are looking for a candidate with experience in a fast-paced environment where they must manage multiple complex projects concurrently and have an aptitude for communicating with diplomacy.

 

As an Indirect Procurement Category Professional you will be operating in a multi-stakeholder and cross-functional environment where you will be responsible for developing category strategies for facility & manufacturing. You will be executing and implement these strategies for Barco Belgium and will be also supporting other regions depending on the Capex needs.

In this role, you will work with and influence stakeholders to ensure best in class procurement, creating partnerships with key contractors and suppliers and procurement of CAPEX and OPEX goods and services in a cost-conscious manner.
 

Key Responsibilities:

 

•    Manage the Capex and Opex procurement activities for the indirect spend category Facility & Manufacturing
•    Effectively develop, implement, and maintain procurement strategy that enable continuous procurement process improvements, cost avoidance and risk reduction
•    Build strong relationships with both internal colleagues, from your direct report to senior stakeholders, as well as key high-profile suppliers through excellent supplier relationship management
•    Undertake a variety of day-to-day activities, from leading negotiations and robust contract formulation to project analysis and alignment of decisions with the organisations overall business goals

 

Basic Qualifications:


•    Master level degree in Business/Procurement or similar
•    Proven Procurement experience across multiple spend categories: Capex or Indirect Categories is highly preferable
•    Experience in Capex projects is highly preferable
•    Strategic sourcing: set-up of long-term strategy for category management (market analysis RFI, RFQ, contract development, contract management, supplier relationship management)
•    Demonstrated ability in managing categories is required, particularly with respect to developing & implementing strategies, stakeholder management and supplier relationship management
•    Extensive experience across key procurement processes:
•    Category strategy and category management
•    Market analysis
•    Full end-to-end sourcing process on defined purchasing categories: request for information / request for proposals / request for quotations / request for solutions
•    Negotiation
•    Contract Management
•    Supplier Performance Evaluation & Supplier Relationship Management
•    Ability to work in a complex and multi-cultural environment
•    Excellent business acumen, analytical, and financial skills
•    Fluent Dutch and English
