Join our Indirect Procurement Team as Procurement Manager. This role involves developing strategies, negotiating contracts, and collaborating with internal stakeholders to manage categories such as marketing, IT, travel, HR, professional services, and other non-direct spend areas.
As an Indirect Procurement Manager, you will work with and influence stakeholders to ensure best in class procurement for CAPEX and OPEX goods and services, and will create partnerships with key contractors and suppliers.
You will be responsible for the development and execution of the procurement strategy for the categories which are assigned to you. You will execute and implement these strategies for Barco Belgium and will also support other regions depending on the needs.
You will report to the Manager Indirect Procurement Team, as part of the Global Procurement Organisation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Category Management:
- Develop and implement procurement strategies for indirect spend categories assigned, aligning with organizational goals.
- Conduct market analysis to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for cost savings.
- Stakeholder Collaboration:
- Partner with internal stakeholders to understand business needs and ensure alignment of procurement strategies.
- Act as a trusted advisor, providing insights and recommendations to optimize spend and supplier performance.
- Supplier Management:
- Identify, evaluate, and manage supplier relationships to ensure optimal performance, cost-effectiveness, and risk mitigation.
- Lead supplier negotiations and contract renewals, ensuring favourable terms and conditions.
- Procurement Operations:
- Oversee end-to-end procurement processes, ensuring compliance with internal policies and external regulations.
- Establish and monitor KPIs to measure procurement effectiveness and identify areas for improvement.
- Cost Optimization:
- Drive initiatives to achieve cost savings, operational efficiencies, and value creation.
- Analyse spend data to identify opportunities for consolidation, renegotiation, or process improvements.
- Risk Management:
- Assess and mitigate risks associated with supplier performance, market conditions, and regulatory compliance.
- Ensure business continuity through robust supplier contingency plans.
Basic Qualifications:
• Master level degree or similar by experience
• a first Procurement experience, preferably within Capex or Indirect Categories
• Strategic sourcing: experience with the RFx process, negotiation, market and data analysis, contract management, supplier relationship management
• Ability to work in a complex and multi-cultural environment
• Strong stakeholder management required
• Affinity and interest in the indirect categories
• Fluent Dutch and English
