What can we bring to the table?
As an Inside Sales Representative you play a vital role in reaching our ambitious targets for both customer acquisition and revenue growth. Supporting the commercial teams achieving their goals, you identify new sales opportunities via either inbound lead follow-up, outbound targeted engagement projects and emails while clearly comprehending customer needs as well what the Barco portfolio can offer to the market. You stand in direct relationship with customers, partners and various Barco departments: everything from marketing to sales, service, product management. The aim for you is to be a genuine Barco ambassador with a high customer-first attitude to achieve higher levels of customer fulfilment and in the end greatly contribute to our earnings. You join Global Commercial Operations, based in Belgium, Kortrijk/Germany, Karlsruhe and reporting to the Inside Sales Manager in Barco headquarters in Kortrijk, Belgium
The Inside Sales representative covers all Barco’s business units with the following activities:
Within the EMEA region:
- Our CRM-modlule is a big key to success! You keep contacts up to date, log actions etc.
- You validate, enrich and qualify enquiries/leads, sourced through phone, web, digital campaigns, tradeshows,… within the set SLA
- You take responsibility for lead assignment to the correct sales manager, business development manager, partners, distributors and resellers.
- You like to communicate in a direct way through phone, both reactive and pro-active
- Answering incoming prospect or customer questions, through your accumulated knowledge and by involving different colleagues such as: product management, service, supply chain, finance
- Facilitate virtual product demo’s or help to arrange appointments with sales
- Assist with handling relational NPS (Net Promotor Score) detractors which are pre-sales related
- Any other project related to identifying, nurturing and/or convert contacts
- Proactive support for projects initiated by the marketing or channel/sales team to gain more appointments/leads/subscriptions
- Every now and then, you have the opportunity to join customer meetings or support at events in your region
On a global scale:

- Continuously increase the % of automated responses through our chatbot by tracking and optimizing commercial questions & responses that come through the chatbot
What do you have to offer?
- Preferably a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent through experience.
- Experience in a commercial or customer service environment.
- 4+ years of proven inside sales experience is a nice addition
- Communicates fluently (reading, writing, speaking) in French, Spanish and English. Knowledge of another language is a nice addition (DE, NL, IT ...).
- Can work independently in an international environment and has the necessary maturity, skills and commercial feeling to communicate with customers and other (internal) stakeholders.
- Has excellent organization skills, supported by a strong technical interest.
- Is willing to become a true Barco ambassador.
- Has a strong supportive attitude and willingness to help sales and channel managers to reach their goals.
- Shows a commercial ‘can-do’ attitude, assisting in the acquisition and maintenance of new and existing customers.
- Demonstrates a strong problem-solving attitude, takes ownership of problems and finds solutions.
- Has a creative mindset to help sales or digital marketeers brainstorm on new ways.
- Has an excellent computer proficiency including the “Microsoft Office package”.
- Knowledge of lead management follow up systems and/or CRM tools is an asset;
