The task at hand

This internship will focus on exploring foundational models and self-learning mechanisms, with a specific application in the healthcare domain, where data is often inherently unbalanced. The research will investigate how data imbalance influences the effectiveness of self-learning and foundational model training, from initial data handling through to fine-tuning and evaluation. The intern will work on creating a complete pipeline, from managing healthcare data, training self-supervised models, and performing fine-tuning to achieve optimal results. Emphasis will be placed on establishing a proper research methodology and conducting rigorous evaluations, ensuring the models remain robust and reliable in scenarios with skewed or limited datasets.
