Product Manager – Surgical and Modality Displays

Position Overview:

We are seeking a Product Manager to join our Surgical and Modality business division. As a Product Manager focusing on displays, you will play a vital role in driving the development, launch, and lifecycle management of our display products targeted at healthcare professionals in surgical and modality environments. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including engineering, design, marketing, and sales, to deliver industry-leading display solutions that meet customer needs and contribute to the company's growth.

Responsibilities:

1. Product Strategy and Roadmap Development:

  • Conduct market research, customer interviews, and competitive analysis to identify customer needs, market trends, and opportunities.
  • Define the product vision, strategy, and roadmap for Barco's Surgical and Modality display solutions.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to align product objectives with business goals.

2. Product Development and Launch:

  • Lead the product development process from ideation to launch, ensuring on-time and on-budget delivery.
  • Work closely with engineering, design, and manufacturing teams to translate customer requirements into product specifications.
  • Drive product innovation, leveraging emerging technologies and industry standards.
  • Define and execute go-to-market plans, including pricing, positioning, and messaging strategies.

3. Product Lifecycle Management:

  • Monitor product performance and market trends to identify opportunities for product enhancements and updates.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to prioritize and implement product improvements based on customer feedback and market demands.
  • Develop and execute product end-of-life plans, including obsolescence management and transition strategies.

4. Customer Engagement and Market Support:

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers, understanding their needs and gathering insights.
  • Support the sales and marketing teams by providing product training, sales tools, and technical documentation.
  • Participate in industry conferences, tradeshows, and customer visits to showcase Barco's display solutions.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., business, engineering, or related discipline). A master's degree is a plus.
  • Proven experience (5+ years) as a Product Manager, preferably in the healthcare or medical device industry.
  • Strong knowledge of display technologies, including LCD, LED, OLED, and 3D visualization.
  • Familiarity with surgical and modality environments, such as operating rooms, interventional suites, ultrasound,...
  • Understanding of healthcare regulations, standards, and certifications related to medical display devices.
  • Demonstrated ability to translate market insights into actionable product strategies and roadmaps.
  • Excellent project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a data-driven approach to decision-making.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across cross-functional teams.
  • Willingness to travel (approximately 25%) to customer sites, conferences, and Barco offices worldwide.
