Product Validation Engineer

As a Product Validation Engineer you are part of our international R&D team. Our Barco products meet the international safety, reliability, environmental & EMC standards & requirements. To insure this level of quality for our products, you conduct validation testing: you simulate circumstances in which Barco might suffer from specific conditions or abnormalities. You assure that our products do not imply any danger or disturbances towards its operator or using environment. 

Key responsibilities 

• You perform Environmental testing (Temperature, Humidly, Vibration, Altitude, Packaging ...) for these products with inhouse equipment or with external test labs.
• You follow-up Environmental standards & interpret these standards for medical devices & information technology equipment (projectors, LED wall, controllers,...) 
• You create qualification reports on performed Environmental tests
• You support R&D in early design phase, provide them with feedback & solutions
• You maintain Environmental measurement equipment & follow up on calibration 
• You work in an international company where you interact with employees all over the world

Your profile 

• You have a technical Bachelor's degree (for example Electromechanics or Electronics)
• Ideally you have some experience in environmental and reliability testing (can also be from an internship/studentjob)
• Some knowledge of automatisation is a strong asset. 
• You enjoy working on testing and have a hands-on approach.
• Next to your technical knowledge, you have strong administrative & organizing skills (planning, knowledge of excel, etc,…) 
• You are a team player who can also work independently
• You have good knowledge of English, written & orally
• You are proactive, communicative and have strong problem-solving skills
• You are available to work from Kortrijk 3 to 4 days per week.
