Quality Assurance Engineer
Function:
Within Barco, the Quality Team implements, administers and continually improves Quality Control & Quality Assurance, in order to support the ongoing development and implementation of a Quality Management System which meets our business needs. The team consists of 15 Quality Assurance Engineers and Quality inspectors, who report to Barco’s Quality Manager.
As a Quality Assurance Engineer, you are responsible for the Quality of our Entertainment or Healthcare products & production processes.
Your responsibilities:
- You control the performance against the quality management system, established standards, quality assurance compliance objectives, reporting KPIs, relevant data and statistics.
- You execute internal audits against our QMS requirements (ISO13485 for our healthcare products)
- You supervise that non-conforming material is retrieved and segregated.
- You coordinate the resolution of manufacturing, service and field specific quality issues.
- You ensure the execution of root cause analysis and corrective & preventive actions which ensures continuous improvements through regular time bound product, process and/or workmanship audits.
- You inform procurement/SQA in case the reject is caused by an external supplier.
- You analyse product and process performance data and reports quality performance to operations management.
- You have the authority to hold the production for major non conformities
- You are responsible for the verification of engineering changes
- You chair material review board meetings and red alerts related to manufacturing and you actively participates in Product Quality Meetings
- You evaluate and authorize exceptional out of calibration procedures.
- You sign CoCs for products manufactured in our plant
- NPI (New Product Introduction) involvement:
- You take the lead in organizing pFMEA’s
- You participate in design reviews and follows up the beta & zero series products to identify and log quality issues
- You follow up on the product and process validations in the industrialization of new products
- You ensure the operations processes are well documented
Your Profile:
- You hold a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a technical domain
- You have ideally a first experience in a production context, or you are a motivated starter
- You have an analytical mindset and an entrepreneurial spirit
- You have excellent communication skills and builds actively a network within the organization
- You have a strong influencing skills and are assertive when needed
- For our Healthcare products you have preferably knowledge of ISO13485
