Software Compliance Engineer

Function

As a Software Compliance Engineer, you are the process owner of all safety standards related to medical device software, and you write the involved project documentation.

Process ownership of Software Safety standards: IEC 62304 and IEC 82304:

• Define and document software documentation processes, methodologies, and best practices.
• Translate standards to practical ways of working and guide the involved teams and sites to ensure that they follow the established processes.
• Host external audits, report findings and deficiencies, and collaborate with different teams and stakeholders to define and implement any necessary corrective actions.
• Continuously assess and improve processes to enhance efficiency, quality, and productivity.

Software documentation content writing:

• Make impactful contributions to the creation of software documentation to offload software design engineers during the entire NPI lifecycle.
• Learn the specificities of software products needed to compose the necessary documentation.
• Create and align document templates and instructions with the requirements of the Software Safety standards.
• Drive a timely delivery of all software documents as required by the internal processes.
