I. Job Summary
We are seeking a highly specialized and experienced Software Test Engineer to join our dedicated Software Testing (R&D) team. This critical role will be solely focused on ensuring the highest quality and reliability of the firmware for our advanced display projectors.
The primary responsibility will be the design and execution of comprehensive testing strategies for complex, domain-specific firmware features, with a strong emphasis on color measurement, optical performance (light/brightness), macro-driven operations, lens file management, and 3D output systems.
The ideal candidate possesses a deep understanding of software testing methodologies, color science, optical physics, and embedded systems.
II. Essential Duties and Responsibilities
A. Core Testing & Quality Assurance
- Color and Optical Performance Testing
- Macro Execution and Automation
- Lens File and Projection Management
- 3D Output and Synchronization Testing
- Performance and Stability Testing
B. Process and Documentation

Create, maintain, and execute comprehensive Test Plans, Test Cases, and Test Reports detailing the testing scope, methodology, and results for all assigned features.

Accurately document, prioritize, and track all defects using a standard bug-tracking system (e.g., JIRA).

Collaborate closely with Firmware Developers and Product Managers to clearly define acceptance criteria and test strategies.

Contribute to the continuous improvement of QA processes, tools, and test environments
III. Required Skills and Qualifications
A. Technical Expertise

3+ years of experience in software or firmware testing, with a dedicated focus on embedded systems or display/video technology.

Deep foundational knowledge of Color Science and Metrology (e.g., color space models, white point, black level, gamma, chromaticity).

Hands-on experience with professional color measurement instruments (colorimeters, spectroradiometers) and understanding of their integration with test software
B. Education

Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Optics, Physics, or a related technical field
C. Professional Competencies

Exceptional attention to detail and a relentless commitment to identifying edge-case defects.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to diagnose complex technical issues spanning hardware and firmware.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills to articulate technical findings to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
