Senior Sales Engineer (Solution Architect)

 

We are looking for a Senior Sales Engineer to support our Large Video Wall Experience sales team in defining, preparing & communicating the best technical solution to our worldwide customers. You are the face and energy of the Barco Sales Team!

 

Your key responsibilities:

 

  • Become a product expert with superior ability to effectively demonstrate through technical demonstrations and presentations Barco technologies to customers.
  • Fully understand customer requirements utilizing Barco product.
  • Translate the customer requirements into a Barco solution.
  • Participate in the creation and delivery of technical and functional sales presentations showcasing the latest Barco products and features.
  • Accompany sales team on customer site visits to understand customer needs.
  • Perform product demonstrations in Barco showrooms, at tradeshows, and on customer sites across North America to highlight product differentiation offerings.
  • Verify with integrators & sales team that our Barco solution is fully in line with the customer expectations.
  • Provide product and system training to customers, partners, and end-users.
  • Work closely with sales, service, project management, product management, & R&D.
  • Responsible for validating Barco project proposals on customer designs.
  • Working on multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Lead technical responses to RFI / RFP

 

Your profile:

 

  • You hold a higher degree in Engineering or equivalent by experience
  • Proven experience in technical product application or engineer field
  • Minimum 10 years’ experience in the AV industry with a minimum of 5 years of professional AV experience

 

Competencies:

 

  • Understanding of commercial large video walls (e.g., Direct View LED, tiled LCD, and Rear Projection Cubes) required
  • Understanding of IT / Networking Infrastructure
  • Understanding of AV architecture required such as experience and knowledge of designing conference rooms, and equipment found within the above space (e.g., large video walls, cabling, control systems, video distribution)
  • Good understanding of networks and switches
  • Good understanding of virtualized environments
  • Certifications: CTS, CCNA, CCNP, CNE, CCIE, or Network+, a plus
  • Experience supporting Linux/UNIX & Windows systems and applications, a plus
  • Experience with software, wired and wireless networked, enterprise software solutions is preferred
  • RTP, RTSP, H264, H265, and encoding knowledge a plus
  • Solid understanding of Office365, Visio a huge plus

 

Non-Technical:

 

  • Able to work from home
  • Possible travel up to 50%
  • Very physical work (setting up tradeshow booth, long hours, lifting heavy product)
