Software Test Engineer

Key Responsibilities

• You are responsible for monitoring the quality of the software of the wireless presentation and collaboration products.
• You cooperate with the developers to improve testability of newly developed software.
• You validate the features developed by the other scrum team members and make sure the Definition Of Done is applied.
• You support continuous integration by automating test cases - all automated tests are written in Python and are running on multiple platforms (Windows, Mac, Linux).
• You help propagate Test Driven Development principles.
• You document your tests and automation and work closely together with our system validation teams in India and Romania.
• You share tools and practices with your test development colleagues.
• You are confronted with a large range of technologies, development languages, network elements, hardware components, etc.

We are looking for a Barco employee who...

• Holds a bachelor or master degree in a software development or electronics related areas.
• Has strong Python proficiency.
• Has at least additional experience in two of the following domains: Network communication (TCP/UDP/…) and related security (SSL), Multiple platforms (Windows, Mac, Linux), Embedded software, Test automation, Electronics.
• Likes to take initiative, work in close collaboration with fellow developers and share your ideas and knowledge.
• Possesses analytical skills and eye for detail and quality.
• Is communicative and assertive when required.
• Is fully conversational in English.
