Business Development Manager

As part of continued growth, the organization is seeking an experienced Business Development Manager to drive sales and market expansion within a designated territory. This individual will be responsible for building strong customer relationships, developing new business opportunities, and positioning advanced medical imaging solutions with hospitals, health systems, imaging centers, and other healthcare organizations.
 
Position Summary
The Business Development Manager will effectively communicate the clinical, operational, and financial value of the company's healthcare imaging solutions to healthcare providers and decision-makers. This role requires a consultative sales approach, strong presentation skills, and the ability to navigate complex healthcare sales cycles. communicate with end users and partners to ensure that the company’s clinical, operational, and financial solution advantages are clearly understood. Barco provides "best in class" medical grade display solutions designed for radiology, mammography, cardiology, clinical imaging, surgical and other primary imaging applications.
 
Key Responsibilities
  • Achieve assigned regional sales objectives and manage opportunities from prospecting through closure.
  • Conduct product demonstrations and presentations for healthcare organizations and clinical end users.
  • Communicate value propositions to key stakeholders, including Radiology Directors, Chiefs of Radiology, Clinical IT leaders, Purchasing teams, and department leadership.
  • Develop and execute territory business plans and strategic account growth initiatives.
  • Identify, qualify, and pursue new business opportunities through prospecting, networking, and relationship building.
  • Maintain and expand relationships with existing customers while developing new customer accounts.
  • Effectively articulate technical product features, benefits, and differentiators to clinical and technical audiences.
  • Support channel partners, integrators, distributors, resellers, and strategic business partners as needed.
  • Maintain accurate sales activity and pipeline management through CRM systems.
  • Represent the organization at industry conferences, customer events, and trade shows.
Qualifications
  • Minimum of 5 years of successful sales experience in a complex B2B environment.
  • Healthcare IT, medical device, medical imaging, diagnostic imaging, or capital equipment sales experience strongly preferred.
  • Experience working directly with physicians and clinical decision-makers.
  • Demonstrated history of achieving or exceeding sales targets.
  • Strong prospecting, negotiation, presentation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Experience utilizing CRM systems for pipeline and opportunity management.
  • Formal sales methodology training (e.g., Miller Heiman, SPIN Selling, Challenger, or equivalent) is preferred.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
  • Ability to present and demonstrate technical products effectively.
  • Willingness and ability to travel up to 70% within the assigned territory.
Education
  • Bachelor's degree preferred.
Compensation & Benefits
The base salary range for this position in New York is $110,000 - $123,000 annually. This range represents the pay that we reasonably expect to offer for this role. The actual salary will be determined based on factors such as relevant experience, skills, and qualifications. We offer a competitive compensation package, including base salary, incentive opportunity, and a comprehensive benefits program. Compensation will be commensurate with experience, qualifications, and demonstrated success.
