About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Optical Engineer to join our R&D Team, capable of research and development activities related to display products.

Job Description

To contribute in  new technology introduction via ideation, conceptualization, design, prototyping, test and validation for optical solutions related to new display technologies (Projection, LCD, LED etc). Planning and execution of optical design, validation of new product introduction within given budget and schedule. Validation, documentation of system and component level testing, testing procedure implementation with proper documentation. Trouble shooting, root cause analysis, data collection and statistical analysis based problem solving etc.

Responsibilities

Innovation:

  • To provide new concept and idea for improvement of existing production or development of new optical solutions via innovation and technology scouting with latest developments in the field of Optical displays and related components.
  • Selection and evaluation of new optical components for concept validation.
  • Benchmarking, concept scoping and benefit analysis for new developments.

Development:

  • To design and validation of Optical components, sub-systems and system integration using optical design and simulation tools (eg Zemax sequential and Non sequential modules) within given specifications for the Barco LVX Division product.
  • Provide essential optical input to cross functional team during the product development cycle.
  • Timely deliver assigned tasks against product development cycle milestones, meeting required quality standards (ISO etc).

Validation and Documentation:

  • Responsible to define technical specifications, test and qualify the product against them and prepare the final documents related to those parts/assemblies/products as needed in the design documentation process. Preparation of test plans and evaluation reports for Supplier as well as end user.
  • To root cause analysis, trouble shooting, industrialization data automation and analysis.
